Having spent the past 5 weeks pushing heavily laden boats through the ice choked waters of eastern Greenland, it was a treat to get out for a paddle this weekend in Ronus Voe with my daughter.
Our new NDK Explorers were lively and responsive compared to their counterparts in Greenland which had been well loaded down and in comparison sluggish - I had forgotten, when empty, just how fast they picked up speed and how effortlessly they cruised along.
A fine afternoon out amongst the stacks, seals and caves in one of Shetlands most easily accessed, special places!
